Definition

What Is Address Verification?

Address verification confirms that a candidate lives, or has lived, at the address they gave you. In Bangladesh it is done by a field visit: a verifier goes to the address, confirms the candidate’s residence with someone who knows them, such as a family member, landlord or neighbour, and records geotagged photo evidence.

An address on a CV is only a claim. A visit shows whether the candidate can actually be found there.

Who needs it

  • 1Employers hiring for cash, stock, data or security roles
  • 2Foreign companies that must document where local staff live
  • 3Banks, NGOs and recruiters with client screening rules
PRESENT ADDRESS

Where they live now

Often a rented flat or mess in Dhaka, Chattogram or another city

PERMANENT ADDRESS

The family home

Usually in the home district, and the address most official forms ask for

Most Bangladeshi job forms list both. We can verify either one, or both.

Pricing

Address History Check: USD $39

One flat price for each address we verify: USD $39. Checking a candidate’s present and permanent address is two checks, or USD $78. For a longer address history, each earlier address is one more check.

What Is an Address History Check?

An address history check confirms each place a candidate has lived over a period you choose, such as the last three or five years. It helps when a client or regulator asks for residential history, and it shows moves or gaps the candidate did not mention.

Red flags we report

  • 1Nobody at the address knows the candidate
  • 2A move-in date that does not match the candidate's account
  • 3An address that cannot be found or does not exist

FAQs

Address Verification in Bangladesh: FAQs

What is address verification?

Address verification confirms that a candidate lives, or has lived, at the address they gave you. In Bangladesh it is done by a field visit: a verifier goes to the address, confirms the candidate’s residence with someone who knows them and records photo evidence.

How much does an address history check cost in Bangladesh?

BPO Bangladesh charges a flat USD $39 per address. Verifying a candidate’s present and permanent address is two checks, or USD $78.

What is the difference between a present and a permanent address?

The present address is where the candidate lives now, often a rented flat in a city. The permanent address is the family home, usually in the home district. Many employers verify both.

Do you visit the address in person?

Yes. Our verifier visits the address and confirms the candidate’s residence with a family member, landlord, caretaker or neighbour. We do not rely on a phone call alone.

What if nobody is at home?

We revisit or speak to the landlord, caretaker or neighbours. If no one can confirm the candidate, we report the address as not verified and explain what we found.

Do you tell neighbours why you are asking?

No. We say only that we are confirming the candidate’s address with their consent. We do not share details of the job or the background check.

What does the address verification report include?

The address, the date and time of the visit, geotagged photos, who confirmed the residence, the length of stay, whether the home is owned or rented, and a clear result: verified, partly verified or not verified.

Do you need the candidate’s consent?

Yes. We need the candidate’s signed consent before we visit or speak to anyone at the address.
