What is contractor administration?
noun · also called contractor managementContractor administration is the ongoing management of independent contractors after they are hired: onboarding documents, service agreements, invoice and timesheet checks, payments, record keeping and compliance reviews. In Bangladesh, a local provider can handle these tasks for a foreign company, so contractors are paid on time in Bangladeshi taka and every engagement stays documented.

FAQs
Contractor Administration in Bangladesh: FAQs
Short answers to the questions foreign companies ask most. Something else? Email [email protected].
What is contractor administration?
Contractor administration is the ongoing management of independent contractors after they are hired: onboarding documents, service agreements, invoice checks, payments, record keeping and compliance reviews.
How is contractor administration different from contractor matching?
Matching is about finding and vetting new contractors. Administration starts after that: you already have the people, and we run the paperwork and payments around them. See independent contractor matching if you still need to hire.
How is it different from an employer of record?
An employer of record legally employs your workers, with payroll, benefits and labour law obligations. Contractor administration keeps people as independent contractors and manages their agreements and payments.
Can you pay our contractors in Bangladesh for us?
Yes. You approve one monthly summary and send one transfer. We then pay each contractor in taka to their own bank account and keep the receipts.
Who signs the agreement with each contractor?
Either your company signs directly and we administer the agreement, or contractors sign with us so you have a single counterparty. We agree the structure before onboarding.
What documents do you collect when onboarding a contractor?
Usually a national ID or passport, contact details, bank account details, a signed service agreement and a confidentiality agreement. We also record the agreed rate, scope and payment terms.
Do contractors in Bangladesh pay tax on foreign income?
Tax rules for freelance and contractor income in Bangladesh can change with each year’s budget. Contractors are responsible for their own taxes, and we recommend they get advice from a local tax adviser.
How do you reduce the risk of misclassification?
We review each engagement for signs of employment, such as fixed hours, a monthly salary or managing your staff. If a role crosses the line, we recommend moving the person to proper employment.
How is contractor administration priced?
Usually as a monthly fee per active contractor, with no charge for months when a contractor is inactive. We confirm the fee in writing before onboarding.
Can a contractor later become an employee?
Yes. If a role becomes full-time and directed, we can move the person into employment through a managed remote team.
