Vendor Risk Monitoring · Bangladesh

Continuous Vendor Monitoring in Bangladesh

Vendors change after you sign: owners change, licences lapse, finances weaken and breaches happen. We watch your Bangladesh vendors between assessments, check every warning sign, and tell you what it means before it becomes your problem.

Definition

What Is Continuous Vendor Monitoring?

Continuous vendor monitoring is the ongoing tracking of a third party’s risk signals, such as ownership, financial, legal, cyber and news changes, between formal assessments, so a problem is spotted when it happens instead of at the next annual review.

It is the final stage of third-party risk management. An assessment tells you a vendor was safe on the day you checked. Monitoring tells you whether it is still safe today.

In July 2024 one faulty software update from a single security vendor, CrowdStrike, crashed about 8.5 million Windows devices worldwide, according to Microsoft. Vendor risk can change overnight.

From signal to action

You Get Alerts, Not Noise

Automated feeds create many false alarms, and they miss most Bangla-language sources. Every signal passes through five steps, so the alerts you receive are confirmed and ready to act on.

For each alert we suggest one of four actions: note it, ask the vendor, reassess, or plan an exit.

1. CollectSignals from registries, screening lists, news, breach sources and the vendor itself.
2. FilterDuplicates and irrelevant matches are removed.
3. VerifyAn analyst confirms the facts, including Bangla-language sources.
4. ScoreThe vendor's risk rating is updated if the signal matters.
5. NotifyYou get a short alert with what happened and what we recommend.

FAQs

Continuous Vendor Monitoring: FAQs

It is the ongoing tracking of a vendor’s risk signals, such as ownership, financial, legal, cyber and news changes, between formal assessments. Problems are spotted when they happen, not at the next annual review.

An assessment is a deep check at one point in time. Monitoring is lighter but constant, and it tells you when a new full assessment is needed. Most companies use both. See our third-party risk assessment.

Critical and high-risk vendors: those that hold your data, run key services, handle payments or would be hard to replace. Low-risk vendors usually only need a periodic review.

Critical issues are sent to you as soon as they are verified, with a short recommendation. Everything else is grouped into a monthly vendor health report.

Public sources such as company records, sanctions lists and news are checked without contacting the vendor. For documents like certificates and tax confirmations, we recommend a contract clause that requires the vendor to share them.

No. We use automated screening for speed, but an analyst checks every signal before it reaches you. This removes false matches and covers Bangla-language sources that tools often miss.

It covers warning signs such as breaches, leaked logins and expiring certificates. If a signal is serious, we recommend a vendor cybersecurity assessment or a vendor data protection review.

Yes. Most clients start with their five to ten most critical vendors and add more once the process is running.
