Buyer Due Diligence Readiness for Bangladesh Suppliers

International buyers now check much more than price and quality before they place orders. We help factories and exporters in Bangladesh get their documents, policies and evidence ready for buyer questionnaires, audits and data-room requests.

Definition

What Is Buyer Due Diligence Readiness?

Buyer due diligence readiness is the preparation a supplier does before a customer checks it: organising company records, licences, policies and evidence on labour, safety, environment and ethics, so the buyer can verify the supplier quickly and approve it with fewer findings.

Most buyers send a questionnaire, ask for documents, and then audit or visit the site. Suppliers that can answer in days, with clear and current evidence, look lower risk than suppliers that need weeks to find a certificate.

We organise what you already have, find what is missing or expired, and build a buyer data room you can reuse for every new customer.

Why buyers ask more

Why Buyers Ask More Questions Now

European supply chain laws make large buyers responsible for checking human rights and environmental risks in their supply chains. That work lands on suppliers.

2023
Germany

The Supply Chain Due Diligence Act (LkSG) starts for companies with 3,000 or more employees in Germany.

2024
Germany and EU

LkSG extends to companies with 1,000 or more employees. The EU due diligence directive (CSDDD) enters into force.

2026
EU

The Omnibus I amendment narrows the CSDDD to very large companies: over 5,000 employees and EUR 1.5 billion turnover.

2029
EU

CSDDD obligations apply from 26 July 2029 to companies in scope.

Your buyer may be covered even if you are not. Large buyers pass these duties down to suppliers through codes of conduct, contracts and questionnaires. A supplier in Bangladesh is asked for the evidence.Status as of October 2026. Laws change, so check the current rules for each buyer's country.

A Clear Readiness Scorecard

After the gap review you get a score for each of the six areas buyers check most, a list of what is missing, and who needs to fix it. We score again before your next buyer review, so you can see what changed.

FAQs

Buyer Due Diligence Readiness: FAQs

It is the preparation a supplier does before a customer checks it: organising company records, licences, policies and evidence on labour, safety, environment and ethics, so the buyer can verify the supplier quickly and with fewer findings.

Common requests include the trade licence, company registration documents, TIN, BIN and ERC certificates, factory and fire licences, environmental clearance, recent social audit reports, safety inspection reports, worker records, policies on child labour, forced labour, anti-bribery and grievances, and a list of sub-suppliers.

No. A social compliance audit is one piece of evidence a buyer may ask for. Readiness covers all the areas a buyer checks, including legal, environmental, ethics and traceability. See our social compliance audit readiness service.

Usually not directly. Laws such as Germany’s LkSG and the EU CSDDD apply to large buyers. Those buyers then ask their suppliers for information and evidence through codes of conduct, contracts and questionnaires.

It depends on the number of gaps. Missing or expired licences usually take longest, because they depend on government offices. We give you a timeline after the gap review.

No one can honestly guarantee that, because each buyer sets its own standards and makes its own decision. We make sure your evidence is complete, current and easy to check, which reduces findings and delays.

The fee depends on the size of the site and how many buyers you serve. We give you a written quote after a short scoping call.
