Is a licence check the same as education verification?

No. Education verification confirms a degree with the university. A licence check confirms the right to practise with the council that issued the licence. Many roles need both.

Which professions need a licence check?

Any role where the law or your client requires a licence: doctors, dentists, nurses, pharmacists, advocates, chartered and cost accountants, and professional drivers. Engineers are usually checked for IEB membership and their degree.

Can you confirm international certificates like ACCA, PMP or Cisco?
