What is a fractional HR and compliance head?
A fractional HR and compliance head is a senior HR professional who leads a company’s HR function and labour law compliance part-time or on a fixed engagement, instead of as a full-time employee.
What does a fractional HR head do for a company in Bangladesh?
They write and update HR policies and contracts, align leave and benefits with the Bangladesh Labour Act, set up statutory committees and registers, handle grievances and discipline, coordinate payroll inputs and prepare the company for DIFE inspections and buyer audits.
What changed in the Bangladesh Labour Act in 2026?
The Bangladesh Labour (Amendment) Act 2026 increased maternity leave from 112 to 120 days and festival holidays from 11 to 13 days, defined sexual harassment and required complaint committees, lowered the service needed for resignation benefits, moved minimum wage reviews to every three years and raised penalties.
Which companies need a safety committee and a participation committee?
Under the Labour Act, establishments with 50 or more workers generally need a safety committee and a participation committee. A complaint committee for sexual harassment is required in every establishment.
Does the Bangladesh Labour Act apply to office staff?
It covers workers in shops, commercial and industrial establishments, but many managerial and administrative staff fall outside the definition of worker. A fractional HR head checks which rules apply to each role and sets contracts accordingly.
Can you prepare us for a DIFE inspection or a buyer audit?
Yes. We run a mock audit, fix gaps in documents, registers and committees, and brief managers before the inspection or audit.
Do you also run payroll?
HR and compliance work links closely with payroll. We can coordinate with your current payroll provider or with our payroll processing team.
How much does a fractional HR and compliance head cost?
It is usually a monthly retainer based on headcount, sites and days needed, or a fixed fee for an audit or project. We send a written quote after a short scoping call.
